Alexis Renee Martinez, a 23-year-old woman from San Antonio, Texas, tragically passed away on July 24, 2019. She was born on August 16, 1995, and was a graduate of Madison High School. Alexis was survived by her husband Javier Salinas and their four children: Jordan, Ilianna, Arianna, and Jacob Salinas. She also left behind her mother Carrie Arevalo, stepfather Oscar Arevalo, brothers Oscar Jr.
and Gavin Arevalo, and her father Rene Garcia.
On the day of her death, Alexis was shot in the upper torso at her home in the 1600 block of Romero. According to the San Antonio Police Department, the preliminary information suggested that Alexis accidentally shot herself. However, homicide detectives were called in to investigate further, and a male witness was taken in for questioning. Investigators recovered a handgun from the home.
The investigation into Alexis Renee Martinez's death continued, but no arrests or suspects were publicly identified in connection with the shooting. The case remains unresolved, and the San Antonio Police Department has not yet ruled on the manner of death.
