In the early hours of a Tuesday in late May, the sounds of gunfire followed by a car crash broke the morning calm in the Walnut Park West neighborhood of St. Louis. Residents near the intersection of Lillian and Woodstock Avenues were disturbed by the incident that unfolded around 2:50 a.m. on May 27, 2025. When police arrived at the scene, they found a sedan that had been wrecked, and inside, two men were discovered with gunshot wounds.
