Champagne Janae Woods, a 28-year-old woman from Lamesa, Texas, tragically passed away on October 19, 2019. She was inside her home when multiple shots were fired through a window, striking her and causing her death. Woods was seven months pregnant at the time, and her unborn baby also did not survive.

The investigation into her death led to the arrest of Demarcus Buford, a 30-year-old man from Andrews, Texas. Buford was charged with capital murder and taken into custody on October 25, 201 ...
