On October 30, 2019, 19-year-old Jonathan Eliel Martinez-Cruz, a resident of Killeen, Texas, was tragically shot and killed in the parking lot of a townhouse complex at the 3900 block of Old FM-440. Residents discovered his body just before 10:00 p.m. and immediately called 911. Despite being rushed to the Carl R. Darnell Army Medical Center in critical condition, he was pronounced dead at the hospital just over an hour later.
