On October 14, 2014, John E. Janis, age 37, was found shot to death in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident occurred in the 2700 block of North Grand Boulevard, where police responded to a report of gunshots. Upon their arrival, they discovered Janis lying unresponsive, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Despite a thorough investigation, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police have not identified any suspects, and Janis's case remains unsolved.
