Arturo Almaraz, a 55-year-old man from Albany, Texas, was found brutally murdered in his home on the 7500 block of Highway 6 near Riesel on February 23, 2020. The McLennan County Sheriff's Office reported that Almaraz was discovered with a gunshot wound, and the incident is being treated as a capital murder investigation.
