Cody Johns, a 24-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on May 20, 2020, in Houston, TX. She was seven months pregnant at the time of her death. The incident occurred when her ex-boyfriend, Kendrick Thomas, forced his way into her home and fatally shot her. Before fleeing the scene, Thomas also shot Cody's sister and mother multiple times. Both women were hospitalized in serious but stable condition and are expected to make full recoveries. Cody's unborn baby also did not survive.
