On June 8, 2020, Alexa Haydel, a 16-year-old female student at Forney High School, tragically lost her life in a murder-suicide incident in Mesquite, Texas. Alexa and her 17-year-old sister, Natasha, were both active members of their school's band. The incident occurred at their father's residence in Mesquite, where their father, Raymond Haydel, 63, fatally shot both girls before turning the gun on himself.
