Jennifer Hickmon, a 37-year-old African American woman, was a beloved physical education teacher and coach at the Young Men's Leadership Academy at Fred F. Florence Middle School in Dallas, Texas. On July 12, 2020, her body was discovered in her home on Happy Trails Drive after her family requested a welfare check due to her unresponsiveness to calls and messages. Upon entering the residence, Dallas police found Hickmon deceased, and it was determined that she had died from homicidal violence.
