On August 1, 2020, Francisco Javier Guzman-Galindo, a 51-year-old Hispanic male from Pharr, Texas, was found dead in the passenger seat of a vehicle near Mile 12 ½ North Road and FM 493 in rural Donna, Texas. The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area after receiving reports of a shooting. Guzman-Galindo was discovered deceased, while the driver of the vehicle, a 35-year-old man, was found injured but survived and was taken to a local hospital.
