Julio Cesar Cardenas, a 43-year-old Hispanic male, tragically lost his life on October 11, 2020, in Conroe, Texas. The incident occurred at Micheladas El Patio, a local bar where Cardenas was involved in an altercation. The confrontation began when Moisés López Vaglienty, a 32-year-old male, attempted to flirt with a woman who was part of Cardenas' group of friends. This led to a heated argument between Cardenas and López Vaglienty inside the bar.
The dispute continued outside in the parking lot after the bar closed, where López Vaglienty ultimately pulled out a pistol and shot Cardenas in front of several witnesses. Cardenas was declared dead at the scene by the Conroe Police Department .
Following the shooting, López Vaglienty fled the scene in his vehicle. However, CPD detectives were able to identify his car and track him down to his residence on Silverdale Drive in Conroe. López Vaglienty was arrested at approximately 3:00 AM on October 11, 2020, and charged with the murder of Julio Cardenas. He is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail, awaiting his first court hearing.

Just 48 hours earlier, another violent altercation occurred at the same location, resulting in the death of Jorge Galeas Jr. Galeas was allegedly stabbed to death by Osman Membreno Tabora during a fight. Both López Vaglienty and Membreno Tabora are facing murder charges and are detained in the Montgomery County Jail.
