On October 24, 2020, Alex Arod Garcia, a 30-year-old man from Ennis, Texas, was fatally shot during a home invasion robbery. The incident occurred in the early morning hours at the Townhouse Apartments on Biloxi Drive. Multiple intruders forcibly entered Garcia's apartment with weapons, and during a confrontation, one of them shot and killed him.
