Leonard Carroll Barnes, a 76-year-old man from Gatesville, Texas, was found dead on October 26, 2020, near his doorway with what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the head. The Gatesville Police Department launched an investigation into his death and later arrested his 19-year-old grandson, Kaleb Johnson-Barnes, charging him with first-degree murder.
