On April 4, 2015, 27-year-old Darryl Simms was shot multiple times, resulting in his death in St. Louis Hills, Missouri. The incident occurred at around 6:15 a.m. on the 5200 block of Jamieson Avenue. According to the investigation, four men attempted to enter Anthony Altick's apartment complex, leading to a confrontation.
