Imtiyazali Manasyia, a 54-year-old male of African American ethnicity, was found shot to death inside his car on January 14, 2021, in the 6000 block of Rookin Street in southwest Houston. He was last seen alive on January 13, 2021, when he left his family home in Sugar Land to run errands for their family business. Manasyia's family filed a missing persons report with the Sugar Land Police Department after he didn't return home.
Surveillance video shows him making purchases at various wholesale retailers and stopping at a gas station along the Southwest Freeway around 12:30 p.m. He was later found dead inside his vehicle about 10 p.m. The investigation revealed that he had multiple gunshot wounds and it appears he was shot from inside his car.
The Houston Police Department and Crime Stoppers have been urging the public to come forward with any information that could help solve this case. Despite extensive efforts, the murder remains unsolved, and no suspects have been identified or arrested. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities continue to seek information from the public.
Manasyia was described by his family as an upstanding family man who lived in Sugar Land, and there were no known disputes or conflicts that could have led to his murder. The lack of witnesses and the unclear timeline between the time he was last seen and when he was found have made it challenging for investigators to pinpoint the exact circumstances of his death.
Crime Stoppers may pay up to $5,000 for information leading to the identification, charging, and/or arrest of the suspect in this case.
