On April 7, 2021, 44-year-old Todd Brookes was fatally shot in Grand Prairie, Texas. The incident occurred in the 1600 block of North Bent Tree Trail around 9:15 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Brookes lying in the roadway with an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
