Roger John Lewis, a 54-year-old African American male, was tragically shot to death on April 18, 2021, in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred around 6:30 p.m. in the 900 block of East 35th Street near Independence Heights Park. According to the Houston Police Department, Lewis was involved in a minor car accident and had pulled over to exchange insurance information with the other driver.
