On May 10, 2021, 17-year-old Adian Zulaica was tragically killed in a shooting incident in Martindale, Texas. The incident occurred around 8:52 p.m. when the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call reporting gunfire near Northwest River Road and Scull Road. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found Adian Zulaica and 18-year-old James Melgar with gunshot wounds lying next to a vehicle.
