Lidia Carapia-Hernandez, a Hispanic woman in her late 50s, tragically lost her life on June 12, 2021, in Austin, Texas. She was fatally shot in her North Austin apartment by her son, Augustine Moreno, who was 32 years old at the time. The incident occurred in the 1900 block of West Rundberg Lane, and Carapia-Hernandez was pronounced dead at a local hospital shortly after the shooting.
