Adam Hernandez, a 40-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity from San Antonio, Texas, tragically passed away on June 27, 2021. He was found fatally shot on a South Side street in San Antonio. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Hernandez died from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body, hand, and head. The incident occurred around 12:40 a.m. on East Southcross Boulevard, near Groos Street.

In connection with Hernandez's death, Jose A. Rodriguez-Moreno, a 36-year-old male, was arrested and charged with murder. Rodriguez-Moreno was linked to the shooting through ballistic evidence and witness statements. He was also accused of two random shootings that occurred in August 2021, further complicating the case. During the investigation, shots were fired toward police, detectives, a CSI civilian, and the medical examiner, although no one was injured.
