In the early hours of July 20, 2021, 18-year-old John Clinton, a young man from Jacksonville, Texas, was tragically shot and killed. Clinton, who had recently met 20-year-old Jesse Pawlowski on a dating app, was lured into a deadly trap under the pretense of selling a handgun. Pawlowski, along with 37-year-old Billy Phillips and 21-year-old Dylan Welch, orchestrated a plan to steal the gun from Clinton.
