The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, around 2:45 a.m., in the parking lot of the Naked City Club located in the 4300 block of S. Fort Hood Street. Elliot was reportedly shot in the parking lot and was found suffering from a gunshot wound at the intersection of Fort Hood Street and Elms Road. He was immediately transported to the Carl R.
Darnall Army Medical Center in critical condition but was pronounced dead shortly before 3:50 a.m.
The Killeen Police Department responded to the shots-fired call and initiated an investigation into the incident. A suspect vehicle was seen leaving the area and was subsequently stopped by a patrol officer. During the stop, two individuals were detained, and several firearms were recovered from the vehicle. One of the individuals was charged with deadly conduct, a Class A misdemeanor, while the other person was released from police custody pending further investigation.
