Zulema Hernandez-Napoles, a 47-year-old woman of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost her life on August 7, 2021, in South Padre Island, Texas. She was one of three victims fatally shot at a condominium on Padre Island Boulevard. The other victims were her sister, Odalys Hernandez, 46, and her mother, Sandra Napoles, 65. The suspect, Yordi Barthelemy, a 23-year-old man from Kerens, Texas, was charged with capital murder in connection with the killings.
