Jo Jane Sparkman, an 83-year-old woman from McQueeney, Texas, tragically passed away on September 5, 2021. She was fatally shot by her 87-year-old husband, Jerry Duane Sparkman, at their home on Treasure Island in McQueeney. Jerry Sparkman admitted to the shooting and also attempted to take his own life immediately afterward, but he survived and was taken to a hospital for a mental evaluation.
