Shauna McLean Lopez, a 28-year-old woman from North-lake, TX, tragically lost her life on May 8, 2011. Shauna was the daughter of Pat and Deena McLean and was staying at her parents' home with her 1-year-old child when the incident occurred. Shauna was of Caucasian ethnicity.
The tragic event unfolded when Shauna's estranged husband, 29-year-old Jose Antonio Lopez, showed up at the McLean residence with a shotgun.
According to the Williamson County Sheriff's Department, Lopez shot Pat McLean in the front yard before entering the house and shooting Deena McLean and Shauna Lopez. Other relatives and Shauna's child managed to escape unharmed.
After committing the murders, Lopez fled the scene but was pursued by law enforcement. During the chase, Lopez crashed into a police cruiser and was killed on impact. The Williamson County Sheriff's Department continued to investigate the case, but no further arrests or suspects were identified.
The McLean family held a memorial service for Pat, Deena, and Shauna on May 15, 2011, at Sneed Funeral Chapel in Lampasas. The family members were cremated and buried at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lampasas.
