Christopher Cote subsequently turned himself in at the Amarillo Police Department and was booked into the Potter County Detention Center on the murder warrant. The police believe that Dillon Austin was shot inside a room at the OYO Hotel before walking out to his vehicle, where he succumbed to his injuries.
