Kareem Atkins, a 30-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on October 16, 2021, in Houston, Texas. Atkins was a dedicated deputy constable with Harris County Precinct 4, known for his commitment to serving and protecting his community. On the night of his death, Atkins and two other deputies were working security at 45 Norte Bar and Lounge in north Houston when they were ambushed by a shooter while attempting to arrest another individual in the parking lot.
