Mutalib Karim, a 76-year-old man from Houston, Texas, tragically lost his life on December 12, 2021. Karim, who was of Asian ethnicity, was a construction worker who was preparing to start his day when the incident occurred. He was sitting in a truck with another worker, Olvin Canales, 44, in the parking lot of a convenience store on Telephone Road when they were approached by a suspect.
