Aldo Rafael Uribe, a 34-year-old man, was tragically shot and killed on January 15, 2022, behind a shopping center on Nacogdoches Road in San Antonio, TX. The autopsy revealed that Uribe died from a gunshot wound to the head after being assaulted.
Debra Ann Guerra, a 48-year-old woman, was charged with Uribe's murder. According to the affidavit, Guerra and two other men were driving around the shopping center and stopped to talk to Uribe, who was homeless.
A witness reported hearing Uribe say, "I didn’t know!" before hearing a gunshot. Guerra may face up to 5 to 99 years in prison and a possible fine of up to $10,000.
Police believe that the shooting may have been in retaliation for an assault that occurred between Uribe, Guerra, and her two friends. While Guerra may not have pulled the trigger herself, she was allegedly involved in the crime. Two other men were with Guerra during the shooting, but no other arrests have been made so far.
The case is being prosecuted in the 144th District Court, and Guerra is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. The investigation is ongoing, and the San Antonio police are still searching for the other suspects involved.
