Breyjon Martin, a 15-year-old African American male, tragically lost his life on March 2, 2022, in Austin, Texas. He was a freshman at Lyndon B. Johnson Early College High School and was found injured at a home near the school. Despite the efforts of first responders, Breyjon was pronounced dead at the scene. The Austin Police Department identified his death as a result of a gunshot wound, and the manner of death was ruled a homicide.
