Michael Echaniz, a 23-year-old male teacher and basketball coach of Hispanic ethnicity, was tragically shot and killed on March 10, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. Echaniz was leaving his apartment for his job at Great Hearts Forest Heights when he was attacked. The incident occurred around 7 a.m., and Echaniz was pronounced dead at the scene.
