On May 1, 2016, Jorge Delgado, age 17, was shot and killed in Kansas City, Missouri. The incident occurred near the intersection of 71 Highway and Emanuel Cleaver II Boulevard. Delgado was fatally shot while he was in a vehicle, reportedly targeted by individuals engaged in a separate gunfight nearby. The shots that struck Delgado were believed to be stray bullets.
