Eric Dewayne Barber, a 45-year-old African American man, tragically lost his life on April 16, 2022, in Dallas, Texas. The incident occurred at a car wash in South Dallas, where Barber was fatally shot. According to reports, the shooting happened just after 2 a.m. when officers were called to the 4500 block of Elsie Fay Higgins Street. Responding officers found Barber suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
