Layla Marie Salazar, an 11-year-old girl of Hispanic ethnicity from Uvalde, Texas, tragically lost her life on May 24, 2022. Layla was a vibrant and energetic child who loved dancing, singing, and spending time with her family. She was excited about starting middle school and had dreams of joining the track team.
