Khylie Sorrells, a 9-year-old African American girl, was tragically shot and killed on June 13, 2022, in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred at an apartment complex in the Heights area, where Khylie was with her mother, Brittany Sorrells, and two other children. According to court documents, Brittany's ex-boyfriend, Jeremiah Jones, entered the apartment demanding a television he claimed was his.
