James Holly, a 39-year-old man from Deweyville, Texas, was tragically shot and killed on June 18, 2022. The incident occurred at a residence located in the 190 Block of County Road 4213 in Deweyville. The Newton County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call at approximately 5:20 p.m. reporting the shooting. Deputies arrived at the scene around 5:45 p.m. and found James Holly deceased with a gunshot wound. The victim, James Holly, was identified as a 39-year-old male.
