On June 30, 2022, Jamiah McCoy, a 19-year-old woman from Dallas, TX, was fatally shot at the Tides Highland Apartments. When police arrived at the scene around 11:50 p.m., they found McCoy on the ground with a gunshot wound. She was transported to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead. Another woman, aged 30, was also shot and injured in the incident but is in stable condition.
