Kenny McFarland Jr., a 30-year-old African American man from Longview, Texas, tragically died on July 1, 2022, from a gunshot wound. The incident occurred in the early hours of July 4, 2022, when the Longview Police Department responded to a welfare check at the 100 block of Queens Court. Upon arrival, they found McFarland with a gunshot wound and immediately transported him to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
