On July 14, 2022, Karla Castillo, a 33-year-old woman from Dallas, TX, tragically lost her life in a domestic violence incident. The incident occurred at an apartment complex in the 12100 block of Audelia Road, where Castillo was shot multiple times by her estranged husband, Jorge Saldenos Escobar Flores. Castillo was taken to a nearby hospital but succumbed to her injuries. Her 14-year-old daughter was also shot but survived after undergoing surgery.
