On August 28, 2022, David Johnson, a 34-year-old African American man, was tragically killed in Houston, Texas. The incident occurred just after 6 p.m. outside the Villas on the Green apartments located at 9603 Homestead Road near Tidwell. According to witnesses, a black mid-size SUV had been circling the parking lot before two men exited the vehicle, approached Johnson's brown Tahoe, and opened fire.
