Richard Rocco, a 53-year-old male from Kemah, Texas, tragically died on November 17, 2022, from multiple gunshot wounds. He was found at the Summerbrooke Apartments on Lawrence Road in Kemah and was later pronounced dead at HCA Clear Lake Hospital. The incident occurred around 11:45 p.m., and investigators were called to the scene to find Rocco with multiple gunshot wounds.
The investigation led to the arrest of Mark Anthony Vigil, an 18-year-old from Houston, who was charged with capital murder in connection with Rocco's death. Another suspect, 17-year-old Joshua Rojas, was also shot during the altercation but later died at a hospital. Vigil was arrested and is currently facing capital murder charges with a $500,000 bond.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and the Galveston County Sheriff's Office has not disclosed how all three individuals were connected.
