Ivan Rojas, a 29-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity, tragically lost his life on November 17, 2022, in Houston, Texas. He was fatally shot in the parking lot of a convenience store located at 11575 Bissonnet Street. Alongside him, another victim, Anthony Palacios, aged 19, also succumbed to their injuries. Both victims suffered multiple gunshot wounds, and paramedics pronounced them deceased at the scene.
The Houston Police Department launched an investigation into the incident and
identified Bradlyn Alex McKay, an 18-year-old male, as the primary suspect. McKay was charged with capital murder in connection to the shooting deaths of Rojas and Palacios. In addition to the murder investigation, there were also related criminal activities discovered. Two individuals, Ashley Palmer and Aaron Willis, were charged with burglary of a habitation after they allegedly broke into Palacios' apartment the day after his death and stole electronics. However, they were not implicated in the murder itself.
The case remains under active investigation, and HPD continues to seek information on McKay's whereabouts. Anyone with information related to the case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division or Crime Stoppers.
