On the evening of November 19, 2022, at approximately 8:10 p.m., Dallas Police Department officers responded to a health and welfare check in the 4300 block of Riverside Road. Upon arrival, they discovered Billy Sims, a 50-year-old male, lying on the ground with a gunshot wound. Dallas Fire-Rescue personnel were called to the scene, but Mr. Sims was pronounced deceased upon their arrival.
