Derrick Tarone Pointer Jr., an 18-year-old male from Cedar Hill, Texas, tragically passed away on December 11, 2022. He was fatally shot at the Legacy Apartments in Cedar Hill. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Derrick with an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital but was later pronounced dead. Derrick was African American.
