On April 6, 1997, six-year-old Tabitha Lillelid, along with her parents Vidar and Delfina Lillelid, and her two-year-old brother Peter, were tragically murdered in Greeneville, Tennessee. The Lillelid family was returning home from a religious convention when they encountered six young people from Pikeville, Kentucky, who were on a cross-country crime spree. The group, armed with handguns, kidnapped the Lillelid family at gunpoint and forced them into their van.
