Death by Force

Etta Medley, a 61-year-old woman from Cookeville, Tennessee, tragically lost her life on February 2, 2014. She was shot by her brother-in-law, Tommy Meadows, during a domestic violence incident at the Double Springs Community Church. Medley was attempting to protect her sister, Wanda Meadows, when she was shot. Meadows, who was estranged from his wife, Wanda, had come to the church armed and looking for her. After shooting Medley, Meadows took his own life.
