On the afternoon of Friday, November 18, 2016, police in St. Louis, Missouri, were dispatched to the 1500 block of Preservation Place following reports of a shooting. Upon arriving at the scene, which was located within a north city apartment complex, officers discovered a young male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to the head. Homicide detectives were immediately requested to the location to take over the investigation into the violent incident.
