On October 1, 2023, Garrett Davis, a 37-year-old resident of St. Louis, Missouri, was fatally shot in the city's Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood. The incident occurred around 9:40 p.m. in the 5700 block of Terry Avenue. Upon arrival, officers found Davis unconscious with a gunshot wound to his torso; he was pronounced dead at the scene. Another 37-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his hand and was transported to a local hospital with stable vital signs.
