In the fall of 2014, a tragic and violent event cut short the life of 27-year-old Ricky A. Burgett, Jr. in Nashville, Tennessee. On the evening of September 21st, what began as a quiet night at his Welshwood Drive apartment ended in a fatal encounter. Burgett was at home with his roommate and longtime friend, Thomas Moreno, when their sense of security was shattered.
