In the autumn of 2014, the life of 19-year-old Dominique Johnson was cut short in a burst of gunfire in Knoxville, Tennessee. An African American male, Johnson was the victim of a drive-by shooting on October 3, 2014, in the Walter P. Taylor Homes apartment complex. He was standing on a porch with another person when a car passed by, and multiple shots were fired. Johnson was struck and died at the scene.
